Pyramid’s Defect Tracking & Reporting Solutions help detect defects as they occur, annunciating and notifying personnel of the occurrence of a defect or defects and storing/tracking defect information during the process and after the part or assembly is shipped.

How does it work?

  • With Pyramid Solutions, both product and supplier defects can be easily recorded on the production line:
  • Workstation software recognizes specially coded barcode scans as being defects. As the defective part travels down the production line, software will track it and will automatically display any related defects when the build information for the part is displayed.
  • Un-repaired defects are displayed in a bright red color so that they are easily discernible.
  • Repair personnel are able to work on a panel anywhere along the line and they are not limited of having to wait for the item to reach the end of the production line before making their repairs.
  • When defects have been repaired, the repair can be recorded by a simple scan of a specially coded barcode.
  • The workstation software will darken (or gray out) any defects that have been repaired. (Defects that have been repaired are retained by the system and are included in the production history for that assembly).
